Description:

2,4-Dichlorobenzyl imidothiocarbamate hydrochloride is a drug that has been shown to have cytotoxic and chemotherapeutic effects on leukemia cells in vitro. It also has an inhibitory effect on the growth of retinoblastoma cells by inducing all-trans retinoic acid. This drug can be used to treat leukemia, as well as other cancers, by inhibiting the expression of regulatory proteins. The mechanism of action is not yet clear but it may involve the inhibition of transcriptional activity or the interaction with retinoblastoma protein.
