Description:

Eravacycline is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibiting protein synthesis. Eravacycline has been shown to be effective against a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including multidrug-resistant strains. This drug binds to the 16S RNA in the ribosome, which is responsible for decoding messenger RNA. Eravacycline is also active against Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Chlamydia trachomatis. It has been shown to be well tolerated in humans, with mild diarrhea being the most common adverse effect.
