6,7-Dihydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavone is a compound that inhibits the activity of target enzymes such as lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase. It has antioxidative properties and is also used to prepare samples for analysis. 6,7-Dihydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavone has been shown to have anticarcinogenic effects in various cancer cell lines. This compound has also been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory activities, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. The natural compound has been found to be effective against hepatic steatosis when administered orally. 6,7-Dihydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavone has significant cytotoxicity against breast cancer cells.
