Description:
3,4-Dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid is a herbicide that inhibits the growth of weeds by inhibiting the synthesis of chlorophyll. It also has a high concentration in meristems, leaves and apical regions. 3,4-Dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid is used in vineale crops to control plant height and weed growth. This herbicide may be applied as a foliar spray or soil treatment. It can be used for controlling weeds in agrochemical systems, such as 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and ethylene. The chemical is classified as an organochlorine compound and has been shown to inhibit the translocation of photosynthetic products from leaves to other regions of the plant.
