Diphenylvinylsulfonium triflate is an enantiopure, synthetic, reactive compound that belongs to the group of morpholines. It has been used in cancer research and as a lead compound for the synthesis of piperazine derivatives. The reaction of diphenylvinylsulfonium triflate with sodium periodate leads to aziridination and produces 4-hydroxycinnamic acid. This compound also has biological properties, including reactivity with chloride ions. Diphenylvinylsulfonium triflate can be prepared using a preparative method or by using a preparative procedure.
