- 9,9-Diethylfluorene-2-boronic acid
9,9-Diethylfluorene-2-boronic acid is a fluorescent dye that exhibits red shift in the electronic transition. It is synthesized by reacting 9,9-diethylfluorene with boron trifluoride etherate. The fluorescence quantum yield of 9,9-diethylfluorene-2-boronic acid is higher than that of naphthalimide and carbazole dyes. The fluorescence intensity of 9,9-diethylfluorene-2-boronic acid is also higher than that of naphthalimide and carbazole dyes when excited by a laser at a wavelength of 488 nm. This means that the acceptor level for 9,9-diethylfluorene-2-boronic acid is higher than those for naphthalimides and carbazoles. This property can be attributed to the combined effect
