Description:Iodobenzene is a chemical compound that is composed of two benzene rings joined by a single bond. Iodobenzene isomers are also called iodosobenzenes and they contain one or more chlorine atoms. Iodobenzene has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Iodobenzene inhibits the enzyme phospholipase A2, which is involved in the production of prostaglandins.
