Description:

1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[amino(polyethylene glycol) 2000] (ammonium salt) is a fluorescent probe with an emission maximum at 635 nm. It is used as a cell viability assay for cancer cells and in the study of kinetics of ciprofloxacin. 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine has also been shown to have photodynamic activity when irradiated with light at wavelengths between 400 and 1000 nm.
