Description

4-(Dimethylamino)phenylboronic acid is a functional group that is commonly used in cross-coupling reactions. It reversibly reacts with selenium compounds to form the corresponding selenoethers. 4-(Dimethylamino)phenylboronic acid has been used to study the photophysical and optical properties of dopamine, as well as its photochemical properties. The compound can be found in urine samples and tissue samples, where it may be present in concentrations of up to 150 μM. The effective dose for 4-(Dimethylamino)phenylboronic acid is unknown.
