(3E)-3,7-Dimethylocta-1,3,6-triene is a terpene that has been shown to have a number of biological properties. It has been found to possess antioxidant properties and inhibit the growth of several bacteria, including methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus. (3E)-3,7-Dimethylocta-1,3,6-triene also modulates the activity of enzymes and alters the metabolism of other compounds.
