Description:
(3S,4R)-3,4-Dihydroxy-L-proline is a specific substrate for cyclic dioxygenases. These enzymes are important in microbial metabolism and the degradation of xenobiotics. It has been shown to be a stereoselective substrate for hydroxylases and biotechnology applications. (3S,4R)-3,4-Dihydroxy-L-proline also has an important role in cell growth and differentiation by regulating protein phosphorylation and intracellular signaling pathways.
