Description:Dextrates is a combination of metoprolol succinate and sodium citrate. Dextrates is soluble in water and can be used as a chemical stabilizer, suspending agent, or emulsifier. It is insoluble in organic solvents and has been shown to have a high degree of chemical stability. Dextrates also acts as an emulsifier and is used in the production of antidiabetic agents that are excipients for oral drug delivery. Dextrates is composed of fatty acids, which are essential building blocks for cell membranes, enzymes, hormones, and other biological compounds. Dextrates also contains benzalkonium chloride, an ingredient that inhibits microbial growth in medical devices. This product may be used to treat bowel disease by reducing inflammation caused by conditions such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. The main ingredient in this product is lanthanum carbonate (LaCO3), which has been shown to reduce the risk of colon cancer
