Description:1-(3’,5’-Di-O-benzoyl-2'-Deoxy-2'-fluoro-b-D-arabinofuranosyl)uracil (1DBUA) is a nucleoside phosphoramidite that is an antiviral agent. It inhibits viral replication by blocking the synthesis of DNA and RNA. 1DBUA does not have any anticancer activity and has been shown to be toxic to cells in culture. The purity of 1DBUA is high and it can be used for the preparation of oligonucleotides. 1DBUA has been modified with a benzoyl group at C1’ position. This modification improves solubility and prevents hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases. 1DBUA also acts as an activator in DNA polymerase reactions, which increases the efficiency of DNA synthesis.
