Description:Dicyclohexylborane is a boron-containing compound that can be used to synthesize β-unsaturated ketones. It reacts with aldehydes, ketones, and esters in the presence of hydrogen fluoride, forming alcohols and/or hydrocarbons. Dicyclohexylborane also acts as a polymerization initiator for polymers such as polyvinyl chloride and polyurethanes. This compound has a viscosity of 2.5 cP at 25°C and is reactive with the hydroxyl group.
Dicyclohexylborane has been used to produce liquid crystal compositions that are trisubstituted by metal ions such as Zirconium dichloride or Stereoselective compounds with hydrogen chloride as the catalyst.
