Description

Direct Yellow 26 is a triarylmethane dye that is used in textile, paper, and leather industries. It can be used as an indicator for wastewater treatment and to measure the efficiency of biological treatment processes. This dye is soluble in organic solvents and has a high affinity for organic ligands. Direct Yellow 26 has been shown to have high values when used as a staining agent for polyvinyl chloride membranes. The stability of this dye can be increased by coating it with gold nanoparticles.
