Description

3,3'-Diethyl-2,2'-azinodibenzothiazole is an electron-rich molecule that can be used as a radical scavenger. It has been found to act as a quaternary ammonium salt and has been used in the synthesis of ethyl derivatives. 3,3'-Diethyl-2,2'-azinodibenzothiazole has been analyzed by electron spectroscopy and found to have a cation radical with unpaired electrons. This molecule is also capable of generating an anion radical when it interacts with oxygen or nitrogen gas. The density of 3,3'-diethyl-2,2'-azinodibenzothiazole is 1.8g/cm^3 at room temperature.
