Dbco- nhs ester is a synthetic substrate that is used for the preparation of proteins for use in diagnostic and analytical chemistry. This product can be used to determine the uptake of drugs and other substances by blood capillaries, as well as the activity of enzymes in cancer cells. Dbco- nhs ester is synthesized from 2,4-dinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (db) and bovine serum albumin (BSA). It has been shown to bind to human serum albumin in an aqueous environment. This product can also be immobilized onto a solid support or used in vivo as a model protein. In addition, dbco-nhs ester may be used to study the immune functions of cells when they are cultured with this compound.
