• Description: 1,4-Diaminoanthraquinone is a monomeric dye that absorbs light in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum. It is soluble in organic solution and has a high solubility in glycol ether. The dye can be activated by hydrogen bonding to form the corresponding anthraquinone dye. 1,4-Diaminoanthraquinone has been shown to have an absorption maximum at around 520 nm and to be soluble in organic solvents such as glycol ethers. The compound is also water-insoluble, which makes it suitable for use in microcapsules.
