N-(2,3-Dichlorophenyl)piperazine hydrochloride is a synthetic compound that is also known as DDPP. It is a 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A receptor agonist, which means that it binds to these receptors and stimulates them. DDPP has been shown to have antidepressant effects in animal models of depression, but it has not been tested for its therapeutic potential in humans. DDPP is an acidic compound with molecular weight of 222.4 g/mol and melting point of 174°C. The impurities of this compound are identified as hydrogen chloride (HCl), chloride (Cl−), and homologues.
