Dihydro FK-506 is a cytosolic protein that has immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory properties. It is an analog of cyclosporin A, which is a powerful immunosuppressant and anti-inflammatory drug. Dihydro FK-506 binds to the cytosolic protein calcineurin in the cells, inhibiting its activity and thereby suppressing immune response. This protein also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-1β. Dihydro FK-506 has been shown to be effective in animal models of autoimmune diseases by suppressing immune responses and reducing inflammation.
