Product Information
- Benzaldehyde, 4-(Dibutylamino)-2-Hydroxy-
- 4-(Dibutylamino)-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde
4-(Dibutylamino)salicylaldehyde (4-DBASA) is a hydrophobic molecule that has been immobilized on the surface of glassy carbon electrodes. 4-DBASA was found to have low efficiency as a photocurrent generator, but its resistance to irradiation and photocorrosion make it a good candidate for use in photochemical applications. This compound is an electron acceptor that reacts with hydrogen chloride to form 4-chlorobenzoic acid, which can be used as a precursor for other molecules.
