Product Information
Name:Dehydromiltirone
Synonyms:
- 7,8-Dihydro-2-isopropyl-8,8-dimethylphenanthrene-3,4-dione
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Dehydromiltirone is a growth factor that has been shown to stimulate lung fibroblasts, which are cells that produce collagen and other proteins. It also inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and IL-6, in tumor cell lines. Dehydromiltirone has an inhibitory effect on the production of these cytokines by preventing the expression of their receptor binding sites. Dehydromiltirone also inhibits the growth of lymphocytic leukemia cells in culture by inhibiting the activation of downstream pathways involved in cancer cell proliferation. This compound is used as a medicine to treat metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus type II.
