N'-(2,4-Dimethylphenyl)-N-methylformamide is a synthetic compound with toxicity profiles and toxicities. It belongs to the class of spirodiclofen, which is used as an insecticide. The toxicity and chemical stability are both high for N'-(2,4-Dimethylphenyl)-N-methylformamide. This compound has been shown to have synergistic function when combined with amitraz. N'-(2,4-Dimethylphenyl)-N-methylformamide can be used in research to identify the presence of chloride ions in soil samples, as well as organic acids such as acetic acid or formic acid.
