Description:2,6-Diamino-4-chloropyrimidine 1-oxide (2,6-DAPO) is a chemical compound that is synthesized by the oxidation of 2,6-diamino-4-chloropyrimidine in alkaline conditions. It can be used as a reagent for the detection of piperidine in urine samples. In addition, 2,6-DAPO can be used to oxidize meta-chloroperoxybenzoic acid and condense it with minoxidil to form crystalline 2,6-DAPO hydroperoxide. This compound has been shown to be stable under various conditions.
