Description

2,4-Dimethylimidazole is the simplest member of a family of compounds called imidazoles. It is a yellow solid that has a molecular weight of 152.2 grams per mole. 2,4-Dimethylimidazole has been shown to have oxidizing properties and can be used as an oxidizer in organic synthesis.
