Description:Bis(2-diphenylphosphinophenyl)ether is a copper complex that has been studied by x-ray crystallography. This compound is soluble in sodium salt solutions and is also soluble in diphenyl ether and diphenyl sulfoxide. Bis(2-diphenylphosphinophenyl)ether absorbs light of wavelength greater than 300 nm, which is characteristic of uv absorption. It emits light at wavelengths between 400 and 500 nm, which corresponds to the visible spectrum. Bis(2-diphenylphosphinophenyl)ether has been shown to be a coordination complex with nitrogen atoms coordinated to two amines.
