Description:
2,3-Difluorobromobenzene is an organic compound with a formula of C6H4F2Br. It is the simplest fluorine-containing aromatic hydrocarbon. 2,3-Difluorobromobenzene has been shown to be an effective antimicrobial agent against fungi and bacteria. The molecule has also been used as a viscosity modifier in liquid crystal compositions, although it is not soluble in water. It has structural similarities to naphthalene and quinoline derivatives.
