Description:

2,5-Dibromohydroquinone is a trifluoroacetic acid derivative that is used as an intermediate in the Suzuki coupling reaction. It can be detected by a number of methods, including fluorescence and colorimetric detection. 2,5-Dibromohydroquinone has been shown to be toxic to animals in acute toxicity tests, although it has not been shown to cause long-term effects. It has synergistic effects with ammonium nitrate and causes crosslinked gels in gel permeation chromatography.
