2,4-Dichloronitrobenzene is a chemical compound that is used in the production of dyes, drugs, and pesticides. It has been shown to be effective against alopecia areata in vitro. This chemical also exhibits detoxification enzymes activity. 2,4-Dichloronitrobenzene is activated by benzalkonium chloride and then undergoes microbial metabolism.
