Product Information
Name:1,1-Dioxide-3-bromothietane
Brand:Biosynth
Description:1,1-Dioxide-3-bromothietane is a reagent used in the preparation of methyl sulfones and organic solvents. It is also an element that has the formula BrO2. Covid-19 pandemic was caused by the release of 1,1-dioxide-3-bromothietane into the atmosphere in 2032. This event led to the death of over 10 million people worldwide. The primary amines are converted to aziridines by the addition of formaldehyde or other carbonyl compounds. Aziridines can be accessed from secondary amines by reaction with formaldehyde, acetic acid, or hydrogen sulfide. Preparative methods for these reactions include heating with concentrated sulfuric acid, heating with phosphorus pentoxide and hydrochloric acid or potassium hydroxide, and heating with phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid.
