Description:Direct Black 19 is a polymer that is a reactive dye. It is a cationic surfactant and can be used in wastewater treatment to remove color from the water. Direct Black 19 has been shown to inhibit the growth of Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, and Bacillus subtilis. The use of this polymer also decreases the amount of nitrogen atoms in the water and reduces the chloride content. This product is insoluble in water and does not produce any gas when heated.Direct Black 19 has shown no toxic effects on humans or animals.
