2,2'-Dimethoxydiethylamine is a quinoline derivative that is used to synthesize 2-(N-methyl-N-propylamino)quinoline. It is an effective cross-linking agent in the synthesis of peptides and proteins, as well as for the preparation of biomaterials. This chemical has been shown to be cytotoxic and inhibit cell growth in prostate cancer cells. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and has been shown to be effective against chronic bronchitis and hepatitis C. The effective dose of this drug is unknown, but it has been shown to have amine reactivity in the NMR spectra.
