Description:Dibenzocyclooctyne-PEG4-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl ester (DBCO-PEG4-NH2) is a water soluble, biodegradable and biocompatible polymer that is used to synthesize nanoparticles with a diameter of ˜100 nm. These particles have high uptake by cells in vitro and can be used for the treatment of cancer. DBCO-PEG4-NH2 has shown to be cytotoxic to mouse tumor cells in vitro and has been shown to induce cell death through apoptosis, which may be due to its ability to activate factor receptors.
