Description:N,N'-Diallyl-L-tartardiamide is a heparin-like molecule with the ability to bind calcium. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of antibody response in mice and can also inhibit periodate treatment of primary amino groups. N,N'-Diallyl-L-tartardiamide has a high degree of solubility in water and is soluble in organic solvents as well. It can be crosslinked to form polymeric matrices that are suitable for use in size-exclusion chromatography. N,N'-Diallyl-L-tartardiamide can also be used as a cross linking agent for agarose gels and gel matrices.
