Description:Diethyl 3-oxopimelate (DOP) is a compound that is used in the synthesis of oxazepines. DOP can be used for the preparation of diazepine and other diazepine derivatives by conjugation with amino acid residues. DOP has been shown to stabilize nucleic acids duplexes, triplexes, and quadruplexes. It has also been shown to have pharmacological properties such as being able to connect with oligonucleotides and inhibit cellular processes such as DNA synthesis and protein synthesis.
