Dicyclohexylphenylphosphine is a chinese medicine that has been shown to have a cytotoxic effect on the gastric cancer cell line MGC-7. It binds to the carbonyl group of proteins and fatty acids, which inactivates them by oxidation. Dicyclohexylphenylphosphine also has an anticarcinogenic activity by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, and can be used as a treatment for gastric cancer. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. The compound was used as an active ingredient in Chinese herbal medicines. It can be detected by NMR spectra and has binding constants with rhizoma gastrodiae.
