Product Information
Name:Diphenylmethylchlorosilane
Synonyms:
- ChlorodiphenylmethylsilaneChloromethyldiphenylsilane
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Diphenylmethylchlorosilane is a chemical substance that absorbs ultraviolet light. It has been used as a cross-linking agent for polymers, and in the production of polyurethanes. Diphenylmethylchlorosilane also reacts with p-hydroxybenzoic acid and ethyl decanoate to produce an ester compound. This reaction is mainly due to the presence of a reactive chlorine atom. The substrate film is then obtained by removing water vapor from the reaction mixture using a vacuum pump. The carbonyl group in the ester compound reacts with hydroxyl groups in aromatic hydrocarbons to form cross-linked structures. These cross-linked structures are responsible for the increased transport properties of diphenylmethylchlorosilane, which are due to its ability to absorb more water vapor than other substances.
