Description:

1,3-Dibutylthiourea is a chemical substance that can be used as an analytical method for the determination of fatty acids in fat. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of microorganisms by acting as a cationic surfactant. 1,3-Dibutylthiourea interacts with fatty acid chains on the surface of cells and inhibits their synthesis.
