• Description: Dibenz[a,h]anthracene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon that has been classified as a human carcinogen. It is used in the analytical method for determining the presence of epoxides. Dibenz[a,h]anthracene has been shown to cause skin cancer in mice. This agent binds to DNA and forms covalent adducts with guanine residues. Dibenz[a,h]anthracene also causes short-term exposure to skin cancer in rats exposed to subcutaneous tumors and has been shown to cause tumorigenesis studies in mice.
