Description:

Dodecyltrichlorosilane is a polymer that is used to coat magnetic particles. It is made of a polymeric matrix, which provides the surface with a non-stick coating that prevents unwanted adsorption of biomolecules. Dodecyltrichlorosilane has been shown to be effective in vitro and in vivo, as well as in tests involving magnetic particles coated with dodecyltrichlorosilane. This polymer can be used for sample preparation and chemical reactions. It is soluble in water, but not in hydrochloric acid or hydrogen fluoride. Dodecyltrichlorosilane also has an affinity for diphenyl ether and hydroxide solution, allowing it to bind to these substances more easily.
