Product Information
Name:3,5-Difluorobenzaldehyde
Brand:Biosynth
Description:3,5-Difluorobenzaldehyde is an organic compound that is used in the synthesis of chalcones. It can be produced by electrochemical oxidation of 3-fluorobenzaldehyde and by the hydrolysis of 1,4-difluoro-2-butene. This compound has been used for the synthesis of a number of biologically active compounds, such as alkylating agents and antitumor drugs. 3,5-Difluorobenzaldehyde reacts with chloride ion to form a molecule with two chlorine atoms (Cl2) attached to it. The addition of hydrogen chloride to this molecule creates HCl gas and 1,1'-dichloroethane. The addition of metal ions produces different products as well, such as copper(II) chloride or silver nitrate. 3,5-Difluorobenzaldehyde has also been used in the synthesis of other compounds through the Suzuki coupling reaction and Friedel
