Product Information
- (3,5-Difluorophenyl)Methanol
3,5-Difluorobenzyl alcohol is an alkylating agent that inhibits the activity of enzymes with phosphatase activity. This chemical is a constant in the catalytic magnesium-fluoride electrolysis of difluoroethane for the production of hydrogen and ethylene. 3,5-Difluorobenzyl alcohol has high activity in nmr spectra, as well as biological properties. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the active site of phosphatases and prevents them from dephosphorylating substrates. 3,5-Difluorobenzyl alcohol also exhibits oxidant properties due to its ability to donate fluorine atoms.
