Curcuma aromatica is a plant that belongs to the Zingiberaceae family, and it has been used in traditional medicine for hundreds of years. Demethoxycurcumin (DMC) is a derivative of curcuminoids found in Curcuma aromatica. It has been shown to inhibit the penicillin-binding protein, which is an enzyme involved in bacterial cell wall synthesis. DMC binds to dna binding activity as well as response element and control analysis. The molecular docking analysis shows that DMC interacts with the chemical inhibitors and inhibits their effect on the curcuminoids. This may be due to its ability to bind to various sites on the enzyme, thereby preventing the formation of chemical inhibitor-curcuminoid complexes.
