Description:2,2'-Dimethylazoxybenzene is the active chemical in this product. It has been shown to be a reactive molecule that can undergo electron reduction. It is also an acidic compound that reacts with amines and carbon nanotubes to form azobenzene and nitrotoluene respectively. The mechanism of the reaction is not well understood but it is thought that a molecule with a double bond adjacent to the azoxy group may react with one of the hydrogen atoms on the double bond causing elimination of nitrogen gas and formation of azobenzene or nitrotoluene.
