Description:

5,2'-Dihydroxyflavone is a flavonoid with antioxidative properties. It has been shown to have anti-cancer effects on leukemia cells and hl-60 cells. 5,2'-Dihydroxyflavone also inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by inhibiting the mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I. 5,2'-Dihydroxyflavone also upregulates the mitochondrial membrane potential in cancer cells and enhances the cytotoxicity of chemotherapeutic drugs in mcf-7 cells. 5,2'-Dihydroxyflavone may be effective against cancerous tumors due to its ability to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells and induce apoptosis while increasing sensitivity to chemotherapy drugs.
