7,2'-Dimethoxyflavone is a heterocycle with experimental properties. It is an activating flavonoid that has been shown to activate the enzyme telomerase. Telomerase is a ribonucleoprotein that synthesizes telomeres at the ends of chromosomes. In addition, 7,2'-dimethoxyflavone has been shown to inhibit the activity of glycosyltransferases and carbohydrate kinases. 7,2'-dimethoxyflavone also has methoxy groups and two phenyl rings in its molecular structure. This compound can be used for chromatographic science such as adsorption chromatography or liquid chromatography.
