Description:
N,N'-Diformylhydrazine is a pharmacological agent that has been shown to be effective against cancer cells. It is an intramolecular hydrogen donor that can react with diazonium salts to form a molecule with a nitrogen atom and two hydrogen atoms, which are released as hydrogen chloride gas. This reaction is catalyzed by hydrochloric acid and occurs via the formation of an amide bond. N,N'-Diformylhydrazine has been shown to have conformational properties in dihedral angles.
