3,2'-Dihydroxychalcone is a flavonoid that has been shown to be glucuronidated in the human liver. 3,2'-Dihydroxychalcone is a monoglucuronide and an aurone. It can be found in plants, such as the leaves of chrysanthemum, and has shown anti-inflammatory activities. The product ions generated by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry are at m/z 133 (M+), m/z 135 (M+), and m/z 137 (M+). 3,2'-Dihydroxychalcone also belongs to the class of chalcones, which have an a-ring with a hydroxy group on C-3. The elution profile for this compound is found at Rf 0.7 on cellulose TLC plates.
