Description:
5,7-Dimethoxyisoflavone is a flavonoid that belongs to the group of flavus. It is found in plants and has been shown to inhibit the growth of Aspergillus parasiticus and Rhizoctonia solani. 5,7-Dimethoxyisoflavone also inhibits the production of aldehydes by these fungi and can be used as an antimicrobial agent. This compound also has magnetic resonance spectroscopy properties that may be beneficial in determining the structure of other compounds with similar chemical structures.
