Description:
4,6-Dimethoxy-2-hydroxy-3-methylacetophenone belongs to the group of natural products. It is a phenolic compound that has been isolated from the leaves of plants in the genus Eucalyptus. 4,6-Dimethoxy-2-hydroxy-3-methylacetophenone has shown cytotoxic activity against cancer cells in an animal bioassay and inhibits tumor growth by inhibiting protein synthesis.
